Children's Ministry

Sunday mornings

We have three exciting children's groups that meet during every Sunday morning service. These groups meet in their own rooms at 10.30am after a short time of worship with the whole church. We have fun getting to know Jesus through games, Bible teaching, songs & crafts. All our children's workers are CRB checked.  Parents are welcome to drop their children off and re-join the main service or stay in with them.

Bright Sparks with background

Bright Sparks is for our 0-3 year olds. We have a 'baby area' full of toys and bouncers to entertain our very youngest guests whilst toddlers can enjoy a session including free play with a variety of toys, colouring, dressing up, books etc. followed by snacks, bible stories, crafts, games and singing. You are very welcome to stay with your children if you wish.

Bright Sparks Plus is for our 4 and 5 year olds. We have a bible story each week and do related craft activities. We have snacks, sing songs, play games and have fun learning together.

Livewires with background
Live Wires is an exciting time for our 5-11 year olds.  Through music, DVDs, crafts, games, stories (…and much more!), they get to see the adventure God has in store for each one of them.  They will make new friends, have loads of fun, learn key life lessons...and they will want to come back again!

At other times…

Rainbow Toddler logo cream bgr
On Monday mornings, we host our Rainbow Toddlers group.  It runs from 10.00-11.30am (term-time only) in the Main Hall of the BCC and involves free play, craft/creative play, refreshments and songs together.  It is a great way to meet new mums, dads, grandparents and carers, and the children always have fun.

Messy Church cream bground
On the 2nd Wednesday of the month, all four churches in Billingshurst get together to host Messy Church at Billingshurst Centre.  It runs from 3.30pm-5.30pm
It consists of…

  • CHAT – enjoy refreshments and a welcome as your kids play with board games and toys
  • CREATIVE – A time of art and crafts all related to our particular theme of the month
  • CELEBRATION – A time of singing and teaching
  • CHEW – we end with dinner for all the parents and children.

Messy Church is free –although you are welcome to give a donation to cover our costs -and bring some cakes to share for tea.
