As many of our church family are aware, the church have been actively involved in supporting a children’s home in Kitale, Kenya for a number of years now, in response to calls by God in the Bible to “look after orphans in their distress” (James 1:27).

Billingshurst Street Pastors

splogosmaller

Street pastors are trained volunteers from local churches who care about their community. They patrol in teams in Billinghurst during some afternoons and evenings. They are there to care for, listen to and help people who are out on the streets.

A street pastor is someone who is…

  • A Christian and is part of a local church;
  • Concerned for society and their local community;
  • Willing to engage with people, whatever their perspective on life and wherever they hang out;
  • Happy to work in a team and in collaboration with other agencies and projects, both statutory and voluntary.

This is a joint venture between Billingshurst Family Church, St Mary's Church, Trinity United Reformed Church and St Gabriel's Church.

Please join the Billingshurst Street Pastors Facebook page for more images and updates.
